If you are a big tennis fan, you know that the 2012 French Open has already started; if you are not a big tennis fan then you probably have not noticed the tournament has already started, and even some good players have already been dismissed. Are we in the middle of an era that finds Roland Garros boring? More boring than any other tournament on the tour? How could the … [Read more...]

Rafael Nadal’s new tennis racquet?
It's not like I'm a stalker or anything, though as I follow many of the top players' social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube; I came across this little gem. It looks as though, world #2 and defending French Open champion, Rafael Nadal is going to be sporting a new tennis racquet! We've all seen him with his Babolat AeroPro Drive GT, and recently he had added … [Read more...]
Clijsters retires and Djokovic leaves Sergio Tacchini
It's been quite the news day for the tennis world. With the French Open starting next week, these announcements seem untimely. First off and more importantly, former world #1 Kim Clijsters has announced that she will be re-retiring from tennis after the 2012 US Open. If you don't recall, Kimmy first retired in May of 2007, got married, had a kid, and in 2009 decided to make … [Read more...]
American Mardy Fish pulls out of the 2012 French Open
It seems that not much has come from American tennis since the Sony Ericsson Open way back in March, where Mardy Fish reach the quarterfinals and where Andy Roddick ousted his nemesis Roger Federer in the fourth round. The 2011 French Open third rounder has officially pulled out of the 2012 French Open, citing fatigue. Mardy has not played in a tennis tournament since Miami and … [Read more...]

After her victory in Madrid, Serena Williams told the press, "Women are way tougher than men. That's why we have the babies. You guys could never handle kids. We ladies don't complain, we just do our best. On the WTA … [Read more...]
Adapting, blue clay, and ATP rankings
Is it me or did the 2012 Mutua Madrid Open seem much more exhausting to watch than normal? I personally liked the blue clay, I thought it was a nice addition to the surface colors, though not everybody was a fan. If you watched any of the tournament, you saw that the blue clay seemed pretty dry, speeding up the court, dust would kick up on serves and the players seemed to … [Read more...]
Going for broke
I'm sure we have all been there, at one point, at a loss for tennis. That moment in you game, that moment where you have no idea what you are doing. That moment where your forehand could not hit the broad side of Mt. Everest; or where your backhand feels so off that you can't seem to get the racquet to meet the ball. At this point, you are probably better off serving … [Read more...]
Prince Sports files for bankruptcy
I rarely every make two posts in a single day; however, I just have to share this with you. Turns out that Prince Sports has officially filed for bankruptcy protection. This comes to me a shock, Prince has always had quality products, especially with their tennis racquets and their tennis shoes. Apparently, Prince has some major debts and has struggled to pay the debts … [Read more...]
