With booming serves reaching 155 mph (Andy Roddick's service record) and screaming ground strokes; you will find yourself amazed with this sport. The game has been around since the late 1800's starting in the UK and slowly moving it's way to the "new world" here in the US. The technology has changed dramatically since it's creation with high-tech tennis racquets, balls, and the players themselves. Tennis professionals are elite atheletes, being able to run around in scorching heat for as long as 5 hours, all for the coveted trophy which they yeild high above their heads, and of course a huge paycheck.
Us amatures only dream about playing in high level tournaments, however; playing a friendly match can also be fierce. Once you've caught the "tennis bug," you'll never go back. Tennis is the game you can play year round and you can play a variety of opponents. Here at TennisThis.com, we eat, sleep, and breathe tennis, we hope you too realize the sport of tennis is one of the best around.
