Who is the G.O.A.T? A tennis player. Not just a player, but also a student of the industry and the sport.
I did not grow up playing tennis, never attended any academy or went to tennis camps, in fact I picked tennis up rather late in my life…my early 20’s. Within a week of picking up my first tennis racquet from Costco, I was hooked. I played almost everyday, started talking with people in my community about tennis, visiting the local shops, learning about the technology and the game itself.
After a few months I really started to experiment with tennis, I learned about stringing, strings, tensions, playing points, constructing points, playing faster and hitting harder, everything came into place for me during those first influential times of learning the game. I REALLY got hooked on tennis.
Let’s fast forward quite some time, I had some web job (not involved in tennis đ ) and right when the US economy started going down the toilet, I was handed my first pink slip. I had to really think about what I was going to do, with so many people in my situation, I didn’t know if I was going to find another position fast enough….that did not happen, I couldn’t find another job for the life of me.
One day, a friend of mine suggested I started a blog/website relating to tennis (since I am such an enthusiast), thus the birth of Tennisthis.com. I started this and have since been doing all the work for it, writing, reviewing, sharing opinions, etc.
Why would I do this? Well, I love tennis, like really love it, therefore I want to share my passion with the world.
Everyday I continue to try to make this site better, make it more entertaining, not just reporting the matches, but to share my thoughts on the game, the players themselves, the behind the scenes, fresh tennis information, and just about anything else I can can think to write. I will do my best to keep everything up to speed with the tennis season. I’ll apologize in advance if I fall behind, this is a lot of work to keep everything going.
Love it or hate it, this is what Tennisthis.com is and this is what I have evolved into.
There you have it friend, that’s who TennisThis.com is.
Much love and happy hitting,
G.O.A.T
