Lotto Mirage 300 II SPD Women’s Tennis Shoe Review

August 22, 2020 By G.O.A.T Leave a Comment

Let me start off by saying that I have very high-maintenance feet. After multiple foot surgeries, I know what works and what doesn’t for me on a tennis court.

Lotto Mirage 300 II SPD Construction

Lotto Mirage 300 II SPD women's tennis shoeHaving said this, I was excited to try the Lotto Mirage 300 II SPD. The shoe is described as having been built off the heritage of the Viper Ultra, providing complete comfort for players of any level. It’s “built to be speedy”, with a lightweight mesh and synthetic upper featuring a 3-D KPU weave.

Enerturn cushioning technology in the midsole offers a shock absorbing system that disperses the forces of impact and “returns that energy to every step you take”.

The outsole is described as durable, non-marking rubber “for high levels of durability and traction on any court surface”. Lotto backs this with a 3-month outsole durability guarantee. There is a reinforced toe cap for added durability.

This shoe comes in an eye-catching red/pink fade, with a pair of laces in each color included. It’s a very pretty shoe.

The shoe is described as having no break in, however I always give new shoes the tennisthis.com treatment just to loosen them up a bit.

Lotto Mirage 300 II SPD Women’s On Court

I played over two hours of tennis in the Lotto Mirage 300s in 90-plus degree heat, and I have to say that this is the most breathable shoe I’ve ever worn.
At 12.6 ounces (women’s size 8.5), the shoe is one ounce heavier than my usual kicks, but I have to say that the KPU woven mesh upper makes them feel incredibly light and quick.

Although this shoe doesn’t have a sewn-in bootie, I felt well-supported and stable playing in this shoe. It does have a wider toe box than I’m used to, but not excessively so (no excessive movement or blisters). The forefoot was flexible enough for quick take-offs, yet strong enough for the transverse arches of my very needy feet to feel well-supported on overheads and hard landings.

My only dislike with this shoe is that it doesn’t have a sewn-in bootie, but this is my personal preference.

Overall, this is a super comfortable and lightweight shoe. It’s aesthetically pleasing, but the KPU mesh technology and Enterturn cushioning make this shoe not just another pretty face.

This is a great go-too shoe on those 90 degree-plus days! Pick up a pair of Lotto Mirage 300 II SPD women’s tennis shoes at Tennis-Warehouse!
