Serena Williams is bound to win the 2012 Wimbledon championship title this Saturday July 7, 2012. I will be honest with you, I didn’t catch either of the women’s semifinal matches. First, I was tired from waking up a little too early to catch the men’s quarterfinal matches. Secondly, I spent the day celebrating the 4th of July with my family. Finally, third, I didn’t really care. I really didn’t even think about the matches until well after they had already concluded. I heard that Serena Williams beat Victoria Azarenka and Agnieszka Radwanska beat Angelique Kerber.
Serena Williams will likely win 2012 Wimbledon title
These two results let me decide the 2012 Wimbledon women’s champion…Serena Williams. I can only imagine that Serena Williams is going to stomp all over Agnieszka Radwanska, in straight sets to boot. The two have already met twice before, with Serena Williams winning both time times in dominating fashion. Agnieszka has only been able to take 4 games total from Serena Williams. Williams even served up a bagel for Radwanska at 2008 Wimbledon.
The real predictions of this women’s final match is going to be how long the final will last? Will it be under an hour? I’m betting Serena Williams will win 2012 Wimbledon in close to 1 hour. Maybe 55 minutes. I doubt that the scores will be close. I’m not saying that Radwanska isn’t a good tennis player (she is in the 2012 Wimbledon final for a reason), I’m just saying that she stands very little chance to outplay Serena Williams.
We all know that Serena Williams is not the greatest of movers on court, she is fast, though she changes direction poorly. Radwanska does not really have the firepower to outhit Serena, so for her to have a chance, she’s going to have to move Serena Williams around…A LOT! That will have to be her tactic for every single point. If Radwanska tries to play the baseline game, she will lose, Serena Williams just has too much power.
The 2012 Wimbledon women’s final is looking to be extremely one sided, favoring Serena Williams. I guess I should send her a congratulatory tweet or something.
