It looks like Christmas came early and Santa delivered me a look at the new 2012 Babolat Pure Drive tennis racquet! From what I’ve been told, the frame will have basically the same specifications of the current Pure Drive GT frame, however; the change will come in Bab’s updated Cortex system.

According to Babolat, their updated Cortex system will provide more power and more accuracy which will give more feedback to the players. I like the new paint job that Babolat, it’s more aggressive looking and follows the trend of shiny graphics on the inside of the frame.

All together, Babolat will be releasing 4 new tennis racquets in 2012, which will be available for pre-order in mid January at Tennis-Warehouse.com. I wonder if this is the tennis racquet that Andy Roddick will be playing with for the 2012 tennis season?
