Don’t Expect To See Serena Williams On A Tennis Court Soon

November 23, 2010 By G.O.A.T

Serena Williams out from tennis.Serena Williams has pretty much called it quits for the rest of the year and part of early 2011’s tennis season, all due to her foot injury. So sad 🙁

If you have been a regular reader, you might begin to think that we have something against Serena Williams, we really do not have anything against her playing tennis…. If you have been playing close attention to the Serena news wire, you know that she somehow managed to step on a piece of broken glass during the FIFA World Cup (way back in early July 2010) and – apparently – seriously injured her foot thus preventing her from playing tennis for close to 5 months now.

Now, that’s perfectly OK, if you step on a piece of glass, it will more than likely hurt quite a bit, however; should it really call for a full foot cast and not being able to play tennis after 5 or so months? Seriously, what did Serena step on? A piece of glass from a cup or a piece of glass from the space shuttle (trying to think big here). We haven’t seen Serena on a tennis court since her fabulous win at Wimbledon this year! Not only that, She has dropped out from playing any Fed Cup matches for the rest of the year and she will also be skipping out on the tune-up tournament in Brisbane [Australia] this coming January.

We did a lot of looking around to find some “cyber dirt” on her…the best we could do is check her Twitter profile for any tweets relating to her foot injury…uh, Huston we have a problem, there isn’t really any “tweets” about her for for quite a while, judge for yourself:

“I Was just thinking about @MsSelitaEbanks and I love her so much! I miss u!!!! 🙁” “Why is it so busy at the airport at 430 am??” “Most of you are saying that I should do Ustream this weekend! What do you all think about Saturday“.

That was only a taste of the ridiculous tweets that we saw, it is hard to focus now. So yeah, Serena is rocking out with a guitar, hanging out with homies, and just living her life. We are totally happy for her to be doing that, however; don’t blame your foot, just take a vacation or something! You are allowed to do that right? That’s cool you know, just keep taking care of your foot, and we guess we’ll see in you in Melbourne? Maybe? Pretty please with sugar on top!

If you would like to follow Serena Williams on her Twitter, you can do so by doing so here: Serena Williams Twitter and if you would REALLY like to follow us, we would great appreciate that as well, you can follow our Twitter page here.
