Wilson has finally added ProStaff Countervail to their line of tennis racquets! The very popular Countervail technology, that was designed to help reduce tennis racquet frame vibration making it much more tennis player friendly.
The ever-famous Wilson ProStaff racquet line has been a staple of tennis champions for decades; with Roger Federer winning the most major titles in the Open Era with his trusty Wilson ProStaff racquet.
The ProStaff Countervail Line
The ProStaff Countervail line will come in 2 models, the ProStaff 97 and the ProStaff 97L; both in the ultra modern and simplistic paint scheme black on black on black.
The first ProStaff Countervail racquet is the ProStaff 97, this racquet is a lighter and faster swinging version of the Roger Federer Autograph ProStaff. The specifications will remain the same for the ProStaff Countervail 97 as the previous ProStaff 97:

Additionally, Wilson is also adding Countervail to the ProStaff 97L. The lightest ProStaff tennis racquet in its lineup will have the same black on black on black paint and chrome lettering as the ProStaff RF97A. The specs will remain the same here as well:

My thoughts on Countervail technology from Wilson
I’ve had the opportunity to play with the Wilson Blade 98 with Countervail as well as the Wilson Ultra 100 with Countervail. Both tennis racquets were a better version of their predecessor. The Countervail in both of these frames made for an incredible feeling frame that was not firm. The ProStaff Countervail lines will certainly be a welcomed addition to the Wilson lineup, I look forward to trying it out.
