On Monday, American tennis pro Taylor Dent officially announced his retirement from the ATP tour. Dent said that he is retiring from tennis to pursue other opportunities, no insight to what “other opportunities” are just yet.
Dent came from three major back surgeries in 2006 to the tour to claw his way back to the top 100. He is known for his aggressive style of play, big serves and consistent volleyer, as well as his charisma with the tennis spectators.
He will finish out the year with an ATP record of 151-140 and over 2.5 million dollars in prize money.
We are sure that he will be missed on tour.
