As most tennis players, we have all be limited to the choice of tennis racquet manufacturers cosmetic appearances of their tennis racquets. That is, until now. Wilson tennis has upped the annie and is now offering Wilson Custom Tennis Racquet! This is a total game changer in the vast world of standard tennis racquet cosmetics.

Wilson Custom Tennis Racquet

What does a Wilson custom tennis racquet include? For starters, you get to pick your choice of racquets; Wilson Blade, Wilson ProStaff (RF97 & 97), Wilson Burn series of racquets. There is a practically an unlimited amount of color combinations that you can choose as well as a variety of finishes! You are also able to choose the grip color as well as the Wilson logo and racquet model (ProStaff, Blade, and Burn) in a selection of colors.

Additionally, you can have your Wilson custom tennis racquet have your name, or any other series of 11 characters, custom printed inside the throat. You are able to select from script or block lettering; also in a selection of colors.

Lastly, you are able to select custom bumper and grommet colors, just right to match you most creative Wilson Custom Tennis Racquet. It truly encapsulates your personal style on the court and off the court.

What do the Wilson Custom Tennis Racquet actually look like?

I was fortunate enough to put together a Wilson custom tennis racquet with the Wilson ProStaff 97 (I would have selected the RF but it came in limited customization combinations).

Here is my Wilson Custom Tennis racquet with the ProStaff 97 frame (Click on image to enlarge for more detail):

Wilson Custom Tennis Racquet prostaff 97 2017 I personally chose a matte gray with a glossy black coat of paint, with the Wilson logo in gold. I opted for custom text inside the throat of the tennis racquet, “TennisThis” is what I went for, in block text. Totally worth it I would say.

Here’s a short video of the Wilson Custom Tennis Racquet process and what you would expect with your racquet and color choices:

What is the cost of a Wilson Custom Tennis Racquet?

While you still have to purchase the base racquet as new (you can’t send in your current frame, sorry), there is an additional cost to getting the custom paint. Each Wilson tennis racquet is a little bit different in price than the other. The Wilson ProStaff 97 that I ordered is $299.00, while the Wilson Blade is $269.99. You are paying a premium for the paint that is 100% unique to you.

How long does a Wilson Custom Tennis Racquet take to receive?

According to Wilson Tennis, a custom tennis racquet can take up to 6 weeks for delivery, though I’m sure there will be additional weeks added to the wait time because of a number of orders I would expect to see.

I would love to see each and every one of you who order the Wilson Custom Tennis Racquet to share with me your custom designs! Feel free to send them to me or tag me on your Instagram (@tennisthis)!

Keep in mind; you are only ordering custom paint/cosmetics from Wilson not custom weighted or balanced tennis racquets from Wilson!
