I know, I know, I promised to write out my prediction for the mens final today, however; this morning I was watching some of the matches and I though what would be better than a post of the mens final? The 5 hottest lady tennis players of Wimbledon! I have been thinking about this all morning and I am happy to announce the top 5 Wimbledon hotties!
Coming in at #5 is one of my new favorite players, Andrea Petkovic. Now, Andrea may not be the absolute hottest female tennis player on tour right now, however; there is something so appealing about her. For me, it’s that little dance she used to do after a match win, super cute I must say. So far at Wimbledon, she’s been doing pretty well, already in the third round with wins over Frenchwoman Stephanie Foretz Gacon, and Canadian Stephanie Dubois. She’s got the game, the looks, and the cute factor to make hearts melt.
I might get the stuffing beaten out of me for putting Maria Sharapova at #4, so please hold off for a minute to read why I put her here. First off, she’s been at the top of so many “hotties of tennis” lists so I wanted to give her a prorated spot on my short list. Yes, she’s tall, blonde, athletic, attractive, and soon to be married. Wait, what? MARRIED?!?!? Man, that totally takes away from the hotness factor, I’m not saying that married women are not attractive, it’s just the illusion that Sharapova might give a regular Joe a chance someday. Anyway, the former Wimbledon Champion is still near the top of the hotness list so all is well for her. He tennis game is good too, she’s really come a long way since her return from shoulder surgery. Does she have a chance this year? Maybe.
A newcomer to the TennisThis.com list of tennis hotties is Maria Kirilenko. I’ve gotten quite a bit of flack for not posting her in my last list of tennis beauties but she’s on this list, so that’s all that matters. Kirilenko comes from where some of the most attractive women come from, Russia. She’s done pretty good over the years on tour, but hasn’t really had a breakthrough major tournament. This year could be different, she’s played with more confidence and playing a more structured tennis game. The 5’8″ Russian beauty is pretty solid in the middle of the list.
The #2 spot belongs to Julia Goerges, should be more like Julia GORGEOUS. Wow, what a beautiful tennis player, it was hard to not put her at the top spot but these things happen for a reason. So back to the German hotness, she’s been flying under the radar up until late 2010, where she broke into the top 50 in the world. Since then, Julia has been climbing the ranks quickly, most recently securing her career high ranking of 16. Not only is she a tennis force, she’s extremely, ridiculously good looking. She could make the top spot of hotties at the end of the year. Oh and she’s through to the 3rd round at Wimbledon.
Finally I have put former world #1 Ana Ivanovic, at the #1 spot. It only seems fitting right? It’s been a troublesome few years for the Serbian beauty, playing piss-poor tennis, going through coachless matches, and just not being tennis ready. This year, on the other hand, she’s has come back with vengeance! She’s visibly leaner, confident, and on the court she’s ready to rock some tennis butt! Hopefully she can keep her head on her shoulders long enough to prove to the world that she’s still got what it takes to be a top player. Hey, if her tennis career ends early, she could easily model for anything, I would buy whatever she’s selling.
There ya have it tennis friends, the top 5 Wimbledon beauties. I know, with so many good looking players on the WTA, it’s really hard to pick just 5. You can watch the other tennis beauties on Time Warner Cable during the rest of the 2011 Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
